Okaya battery guide: LFP packs in every model
Every Okaya we sell runs on an LFP battery. Here is the size of each pack and how long it takes to charge, from Okaya's own spec tables.
Quick answer
Every Okaya model we sell uses an LFP battery. Okaya lists 4.4 kWh in two packs for the FEV 650 and Faast F4, 2.2 kWh for the Defy 22 and Faast F2B, and 1.44 kWh for the Freedum LI. The 2.2 kWh models charge 0–80 % in about 2 hours 15 minutes.

Why LFP suits Okaya riders in Surat
LFP takes more charge cycles and copes better with heat than other lithium types, which matters in a Surat summer. Our lithium vs lead-acid guide has the cycle numbers. The trade-off is a little more weight for the same energy.
The Faast F4 and FEV 650 split 4.4 kWh into two packs. Okaya lists the FEV 650 packs as fixed and IP-67 rated, so they charge on the bike.
Charging an Okaya the right way
- Okaya quotes 0–80 % times. The last 20 % takes longer, so a full charge needs extra time.
- Use the charger that came with the vehicle. An LFP pack needs an LFP charger.
- After a long ride in the afternoon heat, park in shade for a while before you plug in.
When an Okaya battery needs attention
- Range falls well below what it used to be, or the charge bars drop fast on a flyover.
- A battery or BMS error shows on the display, or the scooter cuts out.
- Charging stops early or takes much longer than the times above.
- Bring it in for a free diagnosis, with the warranty card if the vehicle is still under warranty.
